GAYLE MURDOCH

Gayle joined Canada Life in November 2021 as Vice-President, Market Development, where she focused on scaling key growth opportunities and shaping the long-term individual distribution growth strategy. In May 2022, Gayle stepped in as Interim Senior-Vice President, leading the Sales Effectiveness and Performance team in enabling Canada Life’s individual sales and distribution teams with rich data insights, digital tools, effective communication, and learning and development.

Prior to joining Canada Life, Gayle held several leadership roles in her 15-year tenure at CIBC. Throughout her time at CIBC, Gayle worked in Commercial Banking, Mortgage Advice, Credit Card Products, Talent Acquisition, Sales Practice Governance, and most recently, Client Strategy.

Gayle holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and remains committed to the program as a member of the MBA Program Advisory Board. Gayle was awarded the prestigious Rising Star award from the Global Association of Women in Payments as nominated by Visa, CIBC, and TELUS.
